Hill makes quantum physics accessible to the layperson.

In fiction, there are the following new books: The Quickening by Michelle Hoover tells a story of two farm women whose friendships helps them survive the physical and emotional hardship of farm life in the first half of the 20th century. Wench by Dolen Perkins-Valdez tells about an Ohio resort where Southern white men bring their black mistresses. Taroko Gorge by Jackob Ritari is a myster novel involving the disappearance of three Japanese school girls in Taroko National Park. The More I Owe You by Michael Sledge is a novelization of the  love affair between poet, Elizabeth Bishop, and Brazilian architect, Lota de Macedo Soares.
