Reviews of The Last Mountain
“Climb The Last Mountains. Rick Craig knows the Tetons like most people know their driveways, and in this gripping tale, that’s the battleground for a family in trouble—both from within and without.”
—Neil McMahon, author of Lone Creek and Dead Silver
“A high-altitude thriller with more plot twists than a prussik knot. The Last Mountains is smart, funny, crisp, and compelling. Rick Craig is a terrific new writer!”
—Fred Haefele, author of Rebuilding the Indian
“While Rick Craig’s The Last Mountains is true to mountaineering technique and captures the feeling of the hills with accuracy and intimacy, its real power is the compelling story that I could not put down.”
—Phil Powers, author of Wilderness Mountaineering, long-time climber and owner of Jackson Hole Mountain Guides
“A beautifully crafted tale about real climbers in real-life situations. The Last Mountains is a story told by a master who knows the mountains, knows what mountaineering is all about, and, better yet, fully understands the human landscape—it’s highs, lows, summits, and abysses.”
—Cameron M. Burns, author of Climbing California’s Fourteeners
